We only collect information necessary to match you with ride requests, process payments, and ensure safety. This includes your location for ride matching, driver license details for verification, and bank information for earnings transfer. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

  • Identity Information: Full name, date of birth, gender
  • Contact Details: Phone number, email address, residential address
  • Government IDs: Aadhaar number (for verification purposes only)
  • Driver License: License number, issue date, expiry date, license photos (front & back)
  • Profile Photo: Your photograph for passenger identification
  • Financial Information: Bank account details (account number, IFSC code, account holder name) for earnings transfer

Vehicle Information

  • Vehicle registration number, make, model, and year
  • Vehicle color and type
  • Vehicle photos, insurance details, and documents

📍 Location Data

Real-time GPS Location: We continuously collect your device's precise location when the app is active to:

  • Match you with nearby ride requests in your selected city
  • Display your real-time location to passengers during active rides
  • Calculate accurate distances, routes, and fares
  • Provide turn-by-turn navigation assistance
  • Ensure passenger safety and ride tracking

⚠️ Important: Location tracking is essential for the app to function. Disabling location services will prevent you from receiving ride requests.

Usage & Activity Data

  • Ride History: Complete details of all rides (accepted, completed, cancelled)
  • Earnings Data: Fare breakdowns, commissions, incentives, and bonuses
  • App Interactions: Features used, screens viewed, time spent on app
  • Performance Metrics: Acceptance rate, cancellation rate, ratings, and reviews

Device Information

  • Device model, manufacturer, and operating system version
  • Unique device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID)
  • Mobile network information and IP address
  • App version and installation date

When you accept a ride request, we share the following information with the passenger:

Why We Need Location

Location access is mandatory for the Chutki Driver App to function properly:

  • Matching you with ride requests in your selected city
  • Showing your real-time location to passengers during rides
  • Calculating accurate distances and fares
  • Providing navigation and route optimization
  • Ensuring passenger safety through ride tracking

Managing Location Permissions

Android Settings:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps → Chutki Driver
  2. Tap Permissions → Location
  3. Select 'Allow all the time' or 'Allow only while using the app'

💡 Recommendation: For best experience, keep location set to 'Allow all the time' to receive ride requests even when app is in background.

⏰ Data Retention

We retain your information for different periods based on data type and legal requirements:
